Double Decker Bridge

It is a living root bridge (double deck) of Cherrapunji (Sohra), Meghalaya, India. There are roughly around 3,500 irregular shaped stairs, drawn in the form of a big snake along the hills. There were also some hanging walking bridge, which are needed to be crossed to reach the destination.

It was built by Khasi  & Jaintia tribes by weaving together the roots of Indian Rubber Tree (scientific name: Ficus elastica).
